Botox-Free at 37: My Skincare Routine Starts From Within
People don’t usually believe me when I say I’m 37. And that I’ve never had Botox. They tell me I have to spill what skincare products I’m using.
But the truth is, my skincare routine doesn’t start with skincare products. It starts in my kitchen, in my sleep, in how I manage stress, and in the small, consistent things I do every single day.
Here’s what I focus on to support healthy and glowing skin, naturally.
1. Nourishing With Whole Foods
The foundation of healthy skin begins with what you eat.
I focus on real, whole foods rich in protein, healthy fats, and anti-inflammatory nutrients.
Protein provides the amino acids needed to build collagen and elastin - the structural proteins that keep your skin firm and smooth.
Healthy fats support your skin’s cell membranes, which act like a barrier that locks in moisture and nutrients, keeping your skin plump and hydrated.
Antioxidant-rich vegetables and fruits help reduce oxidative stress, one of the main drivers of premature aging.
This combination fuels your skin from the inside out, and no serum can compete with that.
2. Avoiding My Personal Inflammation Triggers
For me, that means staying away from dairy, gluten, seed oils, and ultra-processed foods.
Inflammation silently breaks down collagen, disrupts your skin barrier, and accelerates aging. By keeping it low, I notice my skin stays calmer, clearer, and brighter.
I also rarely drink alcohol. It’s not about perfection, it’s about knowing that alcohol dehydrates the skin and stresses the liver, two things your skin definitely doesn’t love.
When my liver and gut are happy, my skin always reflects that.
3. Collagen + Vitamin C: My Daily Skin Duo
Every morning, I take:
Collagen provides the raw materials for your skin to rebuild and repair, while vitamin C acts as the essential cofactor that allows collagen synthesis to happen efficiently.
Without vitamin C, your body can’t properly utilise the amino acids from collagen, so pairing them is key.
4. Beef Liver + Spleen Capsules: My Real-Food Multivitamin
Every day, I take Cell Squared Organic Beef Liver + Spleen Capsules.
They’re one of my favourite “skin supplements” because they’re packed with nutrients your body can actually recognise and absorb:
Vitamin A - supports cell turnover and smooth, clear skin
Iron + B12 - improve oxygen delivery to skin cells, giving you that healthy glow
Copper - crucial for collagen cross-linking and skin elasticity
It’s like nature’s multivitamin, without synthetic fillers or isolated nutrients. If you don’t need the iron from the spleen, I also love their pure beef liver.
5. Hydration: The Underrated Glow Factor
Hydration isn’t just about drinking water, it’s about absorbing and retaining it.
I drink salted, filtered water throughout the day, plus one serve of Sodii electrolytes daily.
Electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium help your skin cells stay hydrated, support circulation, and even reduce puffiness and dullness.
When you’re hydrated at a cellular level, your skin literally glows from the inside out.
6. Prioritising Deep, Restorative Sleep
I aim for 8–9 hours of quality sleep every night because that’s when your body does its best work.
During deep sleep:
Cortisol (stress hormone) drops, reducing inflammation
Growth hormone peaks, stimulating collagen and tissue repair
Cellular regeneration is at its highest
It’s free, it’s powerful, and it’s the ultimate anti-aging tool.
7. Red + Yellow Light Therapy
I regularly use red and yellow light therapy at TotalFusion Platinum and I’ve seen incredible results, not just in my skin, but in my overall energy and recovery.
These wavelengths penetrate deep into the skin, stimulating mitochondrial energy production, reducing inflammation, and supporting collagen regeneration.
It’s a simple, non-invasive way to help your skin function better from within.
8. Movement That Lowers Inflammation
I keep my movement consistent, but not excessive.
Walking, reformer Pilates, and yoga are my go-to’s. They support circulation, lymphatic flow, and reduce cortisol.
When cortisol stays balanced, inflammation drops. That means calmer skin, better digestion, and steadier energy.
Healthy, glowing skin is never just about what you put on your face, it’s about what you do every day to nourish your body from within.
At 37, I’ve learned that consistency always wins.
Eat real food. Manage your stress. Move daily. Sleep deeply. Hydrate well.
Your glow is built from the inside out, and it’s something no injection can replicate.
