The dressing I make on repeat (and why your digestion will love it)
I don’t make this every day. But when I do, I notice the difference.
Less heaviness after meals. Less of that subtle bloating that creeps in, especially when I’m eating things like raw vegetables or higher protein meals. Everything just feels like it moves a little better.
It’s not anything complicated. Just a dressing I throw together in a minute.
Lemon Dijon Dressing (1 serve)
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
1–2 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
Pinch salt
Crack of black pepper
Optional: splash of tamari
How does it help with digestion?
The lemon and apple cider vinegar bring in that acidity that helps signal your stomach to do its job properly. This is especially helpful if you’re someone who feels full quickly, gets bloated after eating, or notices undigested food in your stool.
The Dijon adds a subtle bitterness, which supports bile flow. That matters more than people realise, especially when it comes to breaking down fats and actually absorbing nutrients from your food.
The extra virgin olive oil slows things down just enough and helps carry fat-soluble vitamins through the digestive process so they can be properly used.
Even the pinch of salt plays a role. It supports stomach acid (which is foundational for digestion).
It’s not a magic fix. But it’s one of those small additions that can shift how your body responds to a meal.
Better digestion. Better absorption. Less bloating.
I like to have this one on chicken, steak and salads. Give it a go!
